Radyně is a castle ruin that stands on the bull-shaped hill Radyně (569 m above sea level) between Plzeň and Starý Plzenec in western Bohemia. The royal castle was built before 1361 during the reign of Charles IV. The original German name Karlskrone (Charles’s Crown) did not catch on, and the castle was named after the hill on which it stands shortly after its foundation.
