Lipno Treetop Trail Czech Republic 2/2

The Lipno Treetop Trail is a 675-metre long wooden trail on the Kramolín hill near Lipno nad Vltavou with several adrenaline and didactic elements, an observation tower and a 52-metre long dry toboggan (Czech record).

The lookout tower was built during May and June 2012 according to the project of the German architect Josef Stöger, the author of a similar Baumwipfelpfad near Neuschönau in the Bavarian Forest. The construction cost about CZK 62 million. For the first visitors, the trail was accessible on July 10, 2012, the grand opening with the participation of President Václav Klaus took place on July 20, 2012. In 2013, the Trail with 360,000 visitors became the most visited tourist destination in the South Bohemian Region and the 15th in the Czech Republic. In 2014, the Trail was visited by 331 thousand people, which dropped it to 2nd place in the region and 22nd in the country among the most visited tourist destinations.
