Frýdlant is a town in northern Bohemia in the Liberec region. It lies in the Frýdlantský výběžek (Frýdlant Spur) on the edge of the Jizera Mountains. The town, through which the Smědá River flows, was built around the castle and chateau of the same name. Its historic core has been declared a town conservation area.
